Beat the butter, eggs, sour cream and sugar until fluffy. Fold in the flour and knead until a stiff dough forms. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Heat clarified butter or vegetable oil in the deep fryer. Roll out the dough very thinly on a floured surface. Use a sharp knife and cut out rectangles (about 10 x 6 cm). Add three lengthwise cuts to the rectangles but without cutting all the way through. Pick up the pieces and carefully interweave them with your fingers, then gently place them on a wooden spoon and put them into the hot fat and bake until golden.Drain the excess fat on paper towels after baking and roll them in sugar while still warm.
