Matcha (ground green tea) is no longer only found in Japanese tea culture. The cult drink has finally arrived here!
Compared to coffee, matcha has a slower effect but lasts longer, making it the perfect wake-up drink - and it also scores with its ingredients: in addition to teein, theanine and antioxidants, the green tea powder also contains iron, calcium, potassium and various vitamins. We show you how to prepare a delicious matcha latte yourself.
For a cup of matcha latte, pour 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder over hot but not boiling water and add a little agave syrup to sweeten, if desired.
Then mix everything well. Heat the milk, whisk until frothy and pour onto the prepared tea. And that's it!
Tip:In the traditional preparation of matcha, a Chasen bamboo whisk is used. If you don't have one, you can also use a whisk, blender or milk frother.
