Preparation

Step 1

Firstly, cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente according to the pack instructions and set aside.

Step 2

Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the onion and garlic cloves. Cut only the green part of the spring onions into rings.

Step 3

Subsequently Fry the mince in a large pan and then add the onion and garlic. Continue to fry for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mince is no longer pink. Then stir in the tomato purée, Italian herbs, salt and pepper and bring the mixture to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for approx. 20 minutes. Stir occasionally until the mixture has thickened a little.

Step 4

Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat. Mix the cream cheese, ricotta and sour cream together. Add the spring onion rings and stir in as well.

Step 5

Spread the cooked spaghetti in an ovenproof dish, pour the cheese cream over it and spread evenly. Pour the minced meat sauce over the cheese layer and spread evenly. Sprinkle with the grated cheese.

Step 6

Bake the casserole for approx. 30 minutes until the cheese is lightly browned and melted.

  • 400 g minced beef
  • 400 g strained tomatoes
  • 200 g ricotta
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 200 g grated cheese, e.g. mozzarella, cheddar or Emmental
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • approx. 3 stalks of spring onions
  • 1.5 tsp Italian herbs
  • some salt & pepper from the mill
