Do you already know the Philly Cheesesteak? The sandwich from Philadelphia, USA, is probably one of the best-known sandwiches there is. And rightly so, because it convinces with its perfectly coordinated components: juicy fried rib-eye steak, tangy cheese sauce, crispy bun and tasty vegetables. We show you how to prepare this delicious sandwich:
First heat the milk in a small saucepan and melt the grated cheddar in it. Then season the cheese sauce with salt and pepper.
Tip: If you like it spicy, you can add a few chopped jalapenos if you like.
Then cut the vegetables into thin slices with an all-purpose slicer. Heat a pan over medium heat, add the onion and fry until translucent. Then add the mushrooms, peppers and garlic and fry briefly. Season everything with salt and pepper and then set aside.
Now sear the steak strips in the pan (approx. 2 minutes), then mix with the vegetables. Finally, cut the rolls open, place the vegetable-steak mixture inside and pour the cheese sauce over them.
