Rhubarb liqueur

Fresh and fruity - our rhubarb liqueur is the perfect summer drink. Simply pour on sparkling wine and enjoy! It also makes the perfect DIY gift and is quick and easy to prepare:

Preparation

Step 1

Wash and peel the rhubarb and cut it into large pieces. Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the pith.

Step 2

Squeeze the juice from the lemon. Then put everything into a pot and simmer, stirring constantly, until the rhubarb is soft (about 15 minutes).

Step 3

Allow the mixture to cool slightly and strain through a fine sieve. Then mix with the schnapps and fill into clean, sterile bottles (e.g. 500 ml each) and pour directly.

Step 4

The rhubarb liqueur can be stored in the refrigerator for approx. 1 year.
