Ice-cream is the ideal way to cool down, especially in summer. Thereby, homemade, gently melting ice-cream in your favourite flavour tastes especially good. With a suitable ice-cream maker, you can make ice-cream, sorbet or soft ice-cream without much effort. The IC 30 from the family-owned company Steba won the price-performance award in the current comparative test of “Haus und Garten Test 03/22”.

How good is the performance of ice machines really? And what is the difference between ice machines with and without a compressor? To get to the bottom of these questions, the editors of “Haus und Garten Test” examined carefully four machines and took a closer look at their functionality, handling, ecology and safety.

With an overall grade of 1.5 (good), the IC 30 from Steba has come out of the test as the price-performance winner. The testers agree: even without a compressor, this device makes the perfect ice-cream! The functionality, safety and price of the machine were rated particularly good.
