Preparation

Step 1

Firstly, cut the corn cobs in half so that there are 3-4 pieces per cob. A sharp knife helps to divide the cobs safely.

Step 2

To make the marinade, mix the olive oil, paprika powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, sugar, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Mix everything well until a smooth marinade is formed. Coat the pieces of corn with the marinade and massage in well so that the flavours are well absorbed. Then leave the corn cobs to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Meanwhile, preheat the barbecue to a medium heat. As soon as the desired temperature is reached, place the corn ribs on the grill and grill for around 15-20 minutes. It is important to turn the pieces regularly so that all sides are evenly golden brown and lightly caramelised. Shortly before the end of the grilling time, the corn on the cob can be brushed with a little BBQ sauce to add extra flavour.

 

Step 4

Arrange the corn ribs on a plate. Finally, garnish with fresh herbs and optionally top with some feta or grated Parmesan cheese. The result is a delicious dish that is perfect as finger food or as a side dish.
