Spelt bread with courgette and walnuts

Our recipe for a moist spelt bread with courgette and walnuts combines traditional craftsmanship with modern flavour. The combination of the mild flavour of the spelt flour, the freshness of the courgette and the bite of the walnuts makes this bread a real treat for the palate.

 

Bread is easy to prepare with a bread maker and is perfect for cosy breakfasts or as a side dish to savoury meals.

Preparation

Step 1

First open the lid and remove the baking tin by turning it to the left. This is important so that no ingredients get into the baking chamber or onto the heating elements.

Step 2

Now use the dough hook and add the buttermilk and olive oil first. Then add the flour, salt, sugar, courgette, bread spice, herb mix and walnuts. Then make a small hole in the centre and add the yeast.

Step 3

Set the BM 2 bread maker to programme 7 "Quick". The bread is ready after approx. 2 hours.

Step 4

Attention: If the yeast comes into contact with liquid before kneading, the bread may not rise.
