Savoury cheese waffles

Waffles don't always have to be sweet! How about a savoury version with delicious cheese and a tasty dip?

Preparation

Step 1

Firstly, beat the soft butter with salt, pepper and nutmeg until fluffy. Then gradually stir in the eggs. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir into the batter.

Now add the cheese and milk and stir in.

Step 2

For the dip, mix the quark with the sour cream and season with salt and pepper. Wash the chives, shake dry, cut into fine rolls and stir into the dip.

Step 3

Switch on the waffle iron and grease generously. As soon as the waffle iron is hot enough, place approx. 4 tbsp of the batter in the centre of the waffle iron and bake for approx. 2 minutes.

Remove the finished waffle and add the remaining batter. process.

  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper, ground

  • 200 g quark
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 1/2 bunch chives
  • some salt & pepper
  • Optional thin slices of bacon, seared
