What can't be missing from a cosy movie night? Popcorn!
Instead of using the usual microwave popcorn, we show you how to make your own. Super tasty and very easy:
Heat the rapeseed oil together with the popcorn maize in a shallow saucepan over medium heat, stirring. As soon as the corn starts to pop, put the lid on the pot and reduce the heat slightly. Keep swirling the pot. Once the popcorn has popped completely, remove the pot from the heat and remove the lid from the pot.
First put about half of the popcorn in a bowl to help spread the caramel. Put the sugar in a saucepan and let it caramelise over medium heat. Once the sugar is brown, add the butter and mix well. When the mixture starts to foam slightly, remove the pan from the heat.
Spread the caramel over the first portion of popcorn and mix well with two wooden spoons so that everything is thinly coated. Then spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes until crispy. Repeat this step with the remaining popcorn and caramel.
The popcorn tastes best freshly baked. However, it can also be stored in an airtight container for 1-2 days after cooling.
