Do you like spare ribs? No wonder, because the meat of the most famous BBQ dish is crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside! Our delicious marinade will add that certain something to your spare ribs - watch out, you might get addicted!
First, put all the ingredients for the marinade in a saucepan, mix well and bring to the boil. Simmer for approx. 15 minutes.
In the meantime, wash and dry the spare ribs and peel off the thin skin from the underside of the bones. Divide the spare ribs into portions of approx. 4 bones each.
As soon as the marinade has simmered down, place one portion of spare ribs at a time on a large piece of aluminium foil and brush generously with the marinade on both sides and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight).
Then place the pre-packed spare ribs with the bone side on the baking tray and cook for approx. 3 hours in the oven at 150 °C top/bottom heat. Finally, grill until crispy brown.
Tip: If you have a dinner jacket box, you can give the spare ribs an additional delicious smoky flavour before grilling.
