These sausage mummies are easy to prepare and a guaranteed highlight at any Halloween buffet!
You can make them with puff pastry or pizza dough, depending on what you prefer or what you have at home.
For the pupils, you could also use olive pieces or cloves instead of peppercorns.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (fan oven: 160 degrees).
Roll out the puff pastry & cut into approx. 1 cm-thin strips with a pizza cutter. Now wrap 1-2 puff pastry strips around each mini sausage. Make sure to leave a small gap for the eyes.
Place the wrapped sausages on a baking tray covered with baking paper and then bake the sausages in the preheated oven for approx. 15-20 min. Leave to cool briefly.
Put about 1-2 tbsp of mayo in a piping bag and pipe little eyes onto the cooled sausages. Use one peppercorn each as a pupil - and that's it!
