The famous Italian pesto - also called Pesto Genovese - pimps up every dish and adds a particularly delicious touch. It is super simple and can be prepared with just a few ingredients. Here you can find the recipe for basil pesto:
Briefly toast the pine nuts without fat or oil in a pan and leave to cool slightly.
Grind the still slightly warm pine nuts and the peeled garlic cloves in a multi grinder until a cream is formed. Add a pinch of salt and the washed basil leaves and grind again until a green mass is formed.
Now add the parmesan and olive oil and mix well again to make a creamy paste. Season the finished pesto with salt and pepper.
