Remove the butter from the fridge about 2 hours before preparation and leave it to soften at room temperature. This makes it much easier to fold in the ingredients.
Wash the herbs and shake dry. Then pluck the rosemary and thyme from the stems.
Now chop all the herbs and garlic very finely and mix well with the butter in a bowl.
